Green Investment Fund

Program Overview

The City of Portland's Green Investment Fund (GIF) is designed to help offset the incremental costs of demonstration commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use building projects in Portland that achieve a high level of environmental performance through multi-faceted design, progressive technologies, and best practices. Public and private projects located in the City of Portland may apply.

Process
The Green Investment Fund grant program is implemented through a 3-step process:

  1. Application submittal
  2. Application review
  3. Grants awarded

Proposals for the current RFP are due February 2, 2006. A non-mandatory, informational pre-application conference will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 6:00pm in the second floor conference room of the Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center, 721 NW 9th Avenue.
